Use and Care Instructions

To maintain the beauty and integrity of our wood products, follow these simple steps:

• Store in an upright position or in an area where air can touch all surfaces at the same time.

• Use a soapy rag to clean, rinse, then dry immediately with a clean dry cloth. Avoid soaking in water.

• To maintain board health, wipe down with food grade mineral oil or WOOTEN Hand Crafted Board Butter (A combination of food grade mineral oil and beeswax). Never use cooking oils to treat.

• To remove strong odors such as fish and onion, scrub with a salted lemon half or white vinegar.

• Some foods can permanently stain the wood. If wood becomes stained, carefully sand with 220 grit sandpaper and re-apply WOOTEN Hand Crafted Board Butter. 

 

Acrylic Use and Care Info:

Acrylic scratches and shows fingerprints very easily.  Carefully handle pieces with acrylic by holding onto the outer edges and avoid setting on surfaces when not in use.  We suggest you keep the wrapping it comes in to help preserve it.

Cork Trivets Use and Care Info:

Cork is a natural material giving variations in color and appearance. Air dry the cork before use to remove any earthy scent.

Wooden Utensils Use and Care Info:

Wash this product before using it for the first time. Hand wash only. For best long-term use, oil it regularly with wood oil or use Board Butter.
